Die "WOODSTOCK – BACK TO THE GARDEN – 50th ANNIVERSARY EXPERIENCE"-Box enthält 162 Tracks auf 10 CDs und ist die erste WOODSTOCK -Kollektion, die Live-Performances von jedem Künstler auf dem Festival enthält. Zwischen dem 15. und 18. August 1969 versammelten sich über 400.000 Menschen auf den ca. 2,5 km2 (600 acre). großen Weiden von Max Yagurs Milchfarm in Upstate New York bei Woodstock, wo 32 Acts performten – darunter einige der berühmtesten und einflussreichsten Musiker der Ära, wie Joan Baez, The Band, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, Santana, Sly and the Family Stone und The Who. Aber bei den WOODSTOCK -Audios geht es nicht nur um die Musik – es geht auch um die Menschen, die dabei waren. Glücklicherweise blieben die Mikrophone während des ganzen Festivals an und fingen die Diskussion der Bühnenarbeiter um das Mittagessen und die Rufe im Publikum nach aktuellen Baseball-Ergebnissen genauso ein wie Max Yagurs ermunternde Rede an das Publikum, das sich auf seiner Farm versammelt hatte. Das Klischee sagt: „Wenn du dich an die Sechziger erinnern kannst, warst du nicht dabei.“ Back To The Garden ist ein Weg für Leute, die sich nicht erinnern können dabei gewesen zu sein. Und bei jedem, der da war, wird es vielleicht die Erinnerung zurückbringen
